New Chapter

Today's 1st April 2011. A brand new month, 4 more days to exactly 1 year at X company. Last year this time, I was still a noob.

Today, I'm able to manage trainings, held discussions, meetings with different levels of people, still stuttered at times, nervous, but given the communication skills trainings during my polytechnic years was really a plus. It helps me to build my foundation though with experience to real working world, I'm thankful this comm skills learnt in class helps to pave for my future. :)

I'm thankful to my mentor. big time.

Though not a IT graduate, somehow I got involved in IT-related job. As workload gets heavier, I felt a need to upgrade myself. With my current knowledge in order to continue to compete in future challenges, upgrading is definitely a must. There are times I wanna give up, but somehow a voice in me kept telling I should hang on there, I can do it no matter what. Mocking, look down, sarcasm I have been through, I hope these positive spirit can keep me going.

Next, boyfriend. Yes, I broke up with my boyfriend a year ago. Once in awhile he'll still text me. Showing care & concern how's life for me. Sometimes I felt he should stop texting me. Do you really think we still can be friends? I don't know how you felt, it was you who choose to leave. Maybe you don't want to ruin my future, maybe you foresee that you cannot give me the happiness. Maybe I'm asking too much from you? Maybe I am too cool to be your girl. Maybe I lack those qualities you are looking for in a girl. Maybe we are not compatible in the first place. What is the reason behind our sudden breakup? Boy, if you see this, I hope you can tell me, cos I really don't know how and when things became like plain water. Not to fight, but I need to know the truth. Maybe readers out there will think, oh dear you should have just get over it. Since it's something in the past. Does knowing the truth mends a broken heart? can things return to what it's like in the past? Exactly, I doubt.

I want and I wish to move forward. I believe if we ever got the chance to be together, or if we are fated, we will still have each other back. But for now, I am not reminiscing the good times we have. I want a new life. I knew of this person from my working environment, I hope to get to know him better :) Mr Same-Alphabet-As-My-Name, if you are following my blog, yes, let's be friends. I wish to know you. :)

It has been left rusty since 2nd July. It's time for a update.

Just came back Singapore this afternoon. It has been a very enjoyable long holiday :)
I went to Sarawak, also known as Borneo Msia. A 5D4N trip. Tried the local food, visit the nature parks, mini zoos, went for drink wif friends, enjoying the xmas season at kuching this december.

I'm still in holiday mood... whatever it is everything will eventually comes to an end. How i wish the clock will stop at those beautiful moments.

Best part of this Borneo trip is getting to know an artist! Whoa~ 有眼不识泰山的我...那是多么的美好。。。人实在很好，一点架子都没有。:) Hence I went to google about D and whoa again (oh well, sorry im not very knowledgable on the arts side. :D D's kinda well-known...indeed. 是不是很多的艺术家大多是这个'pattern'呢？哈哈...many identities.

心动?。。。哈哈哈哈哈又在想太多了！

Well, need to catch some beauty sleep now! Till then nitez :)

Unexpected. Shocked.

Shocked. Happy. Lost for words. ???

I blogged yesterday about how I felt after working there for 3 months. Today, I was told by supervisor that they're satisfied with my performance over the last 3 months and... yes, congratulations, i'm confirm. what a surprise...totally shocked. not prepared. At first I thought I was again invited in for another session of "tea"...

The first question was "So how do you felt working with us over the past 3 months?" -.- After that, I thought AL was gonna say... "Oh we felt you still don't quite meet our expectations and therefore thank you for staying with us over the past 3 months, you are no longer needed".

After all the chit-chatting... AL handed me a letter of confirmation...and I was totally shocked. 1st shocked, my performance overall is good and still room for improvement. 2nd shocked, more pay = more stress. I was totally not hoping that they gonna adjust my pay watsoever...but to my surprised... omg! All I can say is beyond expectation. Hah, count myself lucky?

If you were in my shoe what would you choose? Environmental-friendly or Money?
I would rather have communicable cliques over money.

Even so, I don't think it as what's so special about...though is something to be happy but after all you still gonna work. Nothing's gonna change.

Hopefully things turns out well the next half of the year.

Where do I stand now?

5th July...

Marks an important day for me. It will be my 3rd month after graduation. It's time for me to reassess myself after 3months. Where do I stand now? I don't know. It has been tough for me for the past 3mths. Did try my luck elsewhere but was not successful. ): So, most people says everywhere is the same. Is it REALLY the same? Or am I the one having the attitude problem? I asked myself numerous occasions...

What is it that I really want? You asked me do I love what I'm doing? Negative answer... negative...working for the sick of passing time everyday...so that I can have money, food, clothes etc. etc. Better life, more clothes... all these unrealistic things that city people want. All this sometimes does makes me a better person... but when night falls, I'm alone, lying down... feeling that actually deep down I'm a nobody. Does all that daytime so-call wu-ha you have brings you to another level?

I want to be somebody. Somebody 1 day. Go for what you think is right. Follow your heart. If not now, than when? Dreams or reality? I would sacrifice for 1st choice. Dreams can be BIG... and do come true IF you persevere, stay focus and step out of the comfort zone.

I've always fear to tell people what is my dream...since young. yes...I keeps it with me inside my heart. Now you asked me, why? Not sure? Maybe of fear again? Rejected? Laugh at? So what is my dream afterall?

I want to be a singer or musician. Yes... you can NOT agree with me.

Blogging early morning in the office (: hohoho slacking?! Of course not...

It's finally over! I mean my 1st Corporate presentation. After weeks of brain-cracking, lost in space, clueless what am I suppose to do on the upcoming project etc etc. Nevertheless, have to give a big thanks to THIS friend who helped me so much along the way...really appreciate. Couldn't think of better words(:

At this point, I see my to-do-list getting lesser and lesser. I'm relieved~ and pleased. Still, I cannot stop...have to continue to move further. I knew there's so much awaiting me to discover. What lies ahead is possibilities and unknowns...

It's been a month. It's time to look back, reflect on what and how far I've achieve in my job and how do I continue to improve. I mention the previous time that I couldn't catch a thing, I don't know what I'm being taught, I knew nothing. Giving up is easy, but persistence is difficult. People always say "Getting started is always the hardest part."

I don't know how far I can go, but if I'm getting no where in my position, I think by then I'll have to replan my path. Let's keep the fingers cross.

Week 2 ...

I know it's not so nice to blog especially during working hours...but who cares~(; TGIF!:DD It has been a head-spinning week 2 for me at work. A lot of things I need to learn and handle...resigning has been flashing on and off across my mine. People advise me not to cos I'm new that's why beginning is always hard. Work has been challenging, not really much of very dead paper work everyday, but is more using the brains. Has it's advantage and disadvantage though. ): (: Ask me do I like what I'm doing now? Hmm, I cannot tell you exactly I like but neither do I hate. Time will tell I guess... Oh, knocking off early and staying not-so-far-away from your workplace has it's advantage too! (: I now enjoy & realise I can go back early and still have my 3/4 evening! ((: I've to thank the person who "brain-wash" me going to bed early is really a plus.((: I realised I've better skin compare to the time when I was having holidays and staying up till 1-2am...for no important reasons.

Well, until than bye for now. I'm knocking off.

Thoughts ...

Now that I've taken my results, next stop is graduation. Everything seems so reality now. Ooooh, gonna starting working next week. ): All of a sudden I felt so empty, I'm such a nobody, so many unknowns ahead of me, I felt a urge to hide myself, hide from everything. I'm afraid...I'm so worried. I hope there is someone to guide me along the way... What should I do? Emptiness fills my heart...

Can I live up to expectations? I think the questions is not to ask myself whether I can or cannot... I should believe in myself and start to work towards what I wanna achieve. I need to learn to stop dwelling on the past and turn my attention to here and now.

I recently read a book just wanna quote a paragraph on one of the Rules " Everyday that we wake up is a fresh start and we can make of it what we want, write what we want on that blank canvas. Keeping the enthusiasm going can be tough - a bit like trying to take up exercise. The first few times are impossibly hard but if you persevere, then one day you find you're jogging, walking, swimming without conscious effort. But getting going is really tough and requires immense powers of concentration, enthusiasm, dedication and perseverance to keep it. " ...."Home is here now. Each second of this present is precious." ...."Live here, live now, live in this moment."

Oh, sometime ago I came across another article, it says "if you have learned to be independent, you will not be afraid of loneliness anymore."
Is that true? Hmm...

So, what's your future gonna be like?
Have a plan. If you don't plan your plan, it will remain a dream.
Sometimes life can be like a bit like advertising. You'll never know from which bits of effort comes the best reward.

New Laptop

最近都很少上来写东西因为都不知道写些什么。上个礼拜，我的宝贝电脑主机板突然在我开电时在处理器里“爆炸了”。呵呵~白木的我还以为是家的人造风水池的LED又出问题。。。哈！结果原来是跟了我快5年的电脑。终究还是跟我说拜拜~ 东西其实跟人的寿命很雷同。是时候就得离开。免不了，这都是宿命。哈哈。。。不过，我经过之前电脑坏掉的经验这次不再那么手忙脚乱了。说来都不敢相信我居然把之前旧电脑的硬盘给拿去丢掉！我简直太屌啦！有够百木的！！但这次可不能这样咯~我好多的珍贵文件和数不清的照片都在里头啊！所以，那天花了一个下午清洁我的电脑桌，把东西统统整理干净。^^现在换上了新的笔记本电脑顶上~hmmm...还是桌上型电脑比较好用。(:以后得去物色一台咯。。。

Recently haven't been coming here to update my blog as I don't know what to write. Last weekend, my precious computer motherboard went "exploded" inside the processor when I power-on. Haha~ so silly of me I thought it was my family's fengshui fountain's LED light that blews off...Hah! It turns out to be the PC that I have been using for almost 5 years. Afterall, it still kiss goodbye to me. ): In fact, it's identical to a person's life. When it's time, one has to leave. Inevitably, this is destiny. Haha~ HOWEVER, I had a PC brokedown experience before, this time it's no longer a fuss. You wouldn't believe me that I actually threw my old PC's hard-drive away the last time! That's WAY TOO PRO! I'm such a noob!! But I won't be doing such silly act this time cos I've got all my important documents and countless photos in the hard-drive! So the next day, I spent the whole afternoon tidying up my computer table. ^^ TADA! I replaced with a new laptop~ hmmm...but I still prefer using desktop. (: Maybe I will need to look for a new desktop in future...

It was so long ago since I last cycled.

Yesterday was a great day (: I was all excited and looking forward to my East Coast cycling trip! :D

Well, the first few times were always painful I guess... I remember I played with my elder brother when i was still a kid...but not when I grew much older. So you can pretty count the years I've not been cycling. Mind you, it was those 4-wheels I played last time ((: 2-wheels was never easy or should I say I didn't pass AT ALL. :DDD

Okay, laugh at me. :P I tried once when I was much younger but failed too. :(
Well, yesterday was the 2nd time. I finally MASTERED how to cycle yesterday within 2 hrs!! :))) CONGRATULATIONS TO ME. hahahahahaha All thanks to my powerful, patience, encouraging cousin Nes Gan!!! Thanks so so much. Really appreciate :))

Hey, but on top of that one also must have some 天份 :DD 、will-power、confidence to overcome the many many times of getting scratched, crashing into trees, fall, bruising all over the lower leg. A painful experience indeed.

I had many blue-blacks on both of my legs. It's ugly :( It's gonna take me weeks to recover. :(
My arms are aching too! I pay to get a painful lesson.
But it's all worth :))

oh well, 第一個禮拜的IAP過得還挺OK。只是上下班帶給我非常的不便~但也因為這樣我更認識新加坡:)因為travelling時認識了很多地方！！那麼的眼熟~東區到Central一帶還是比較有魅力:D 呼呼~以後如果要出門就有新的location了！
工作嘛~嗯,還過得去~ 只不過我不要做裡面!!! Let me return to my desk!人多時間過的還是比較快樂的~我的SUP人還挺不錯...只是我被分派到得跟那個馬來西亞女人有點太討厭-.-總是喜歡SOP...meaning Standard Of Procedure.5點多要下班總是找些有的沒得給我麻煩想讓我下不了班?! ~去死吧你! who cares! 對了,Monday不用到office因為要去On Course...呼呼~最好是上久一點不用那麼快回office... 同事嘛, 還不錯啦~ 我的那個IAP朋友偶爾也挺關照我的... 每每要我回去外面陪他! 哈哈~ 好吧!讓我找機會跟SUP說一下... 不然也真是莫名其妙~應該是一起坐的嘛~ 怎會現在一個里面一個外面?!! anw, IAP棒多了! 認識新朋友!! 呼呼~~

一般城市人對“朋友”的定義，有好多層次，從深淺到寬窄到遠近。
“淺”朋友見面打招呼，別過臉臉就自然不會笑了；“深”朋友可把茶杯裡的風波談成壯闊的波瀾。

但是，別以為天天在飯桌上無所不談，就可深交；也不必以為能夠推心置腹，就能深交；更不要以為曾經是戰友的，已成深交。

有時候，他們都只是過客。
在城市人的處事課業中，“情緒智商”（EQ）是抵達成功的羅盤。人跟人接觸的面向、選項、花樣也就因此復雜起來，花團錦簇。

最好心知肚明，若干時候的融洽也只發生於碰面，不見面彼此也許是對方手機里以備急用的一組號碼。

How are you going to wash off all the wax on your hair?

1. Work conditioner onto you damp/dry hair. (Do not wet your hair)
2. Massage long enough for the conditioner to go into hair. Avoiding the scalp.
3. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
4. Shampoo your hair.

TA-DA! You'll have back your beautiful silky hair :)
It really works on mine!

With this you'll never have to worry how much wax or styling you do on your hair. :))

It's been a while since i blog with music late in the night...

Well, my modem was spoilt last saturday(lucky i was not home). I knew i need to get it fix because i cant live without the net/phone!...well, i took the initiative to go down singtel the next day and practically i spend half of my afternoon plus quarter of the evening there to get things done):... eventually things turn out good.(: The cso lend me his OWN modem (in the mean time as my phone+net was connected tgt) which i felt it was so nice of him since we were strangers and he trusted me that i will eventually return him his modem when my mio come next week. (: How nice. A big thanks to Calvin for the assistant!!!

After everything goes well for a week...my pc monitor spoilt!): ): How sad...have to replace with a new one. I bought a pretty cheap and nice in appearance LG monitor..hopefully LASTING too. Oh, i met this assistant today he was very nice and friendly too!(: We chatted while he was serving me...i notice he was limping...i asked him what happen to his leg, he told me he was hit by another vehicle from behind during the CNY and was admitted to the hospital for 1 month. awww... and the wound haven't really recover yet and still needs to go back hospital for check-up regularly. well, 大好青年真的为他感到很抱歉。庆幸没有变残废(: hopefully he will recover if not i guess he'll be limping for the rest of his life): ): ...he seems pretty good in repairing pc etc. i thought he studied before he said no, i master on my own. 太厉害啦~！Well, he mention that he'll be going overseas to study after august. 我很羡慕~ 祝你好运啦! (:

Earthen Jar Treasure Herbal Soup

I don't usually blog about food. But this one is a must try if you love soup. :) I went lunch with my colleague on friday and she told me the many many good foods around the Sing Ming area. Like the Bak Kut Teh @ Blk 22, the roasted duck rice at the main road etc etc etc...spoilt for choices. :) Actually we intend to have the Bak Kut Teh but the queue was so long!!! We've only 1hr of lunch break and imagine maybe 30mins spent just queuing for a bowl of bak kut teh?!:( Quote my dad's words "排队的东西，我是不会吃的。浪费时间!” hahahaha~

So she told me there's this stall selling herbal soup served in a jar! So i decided to try. :) The guy who served us was somewhat friendlier to us maybe we're erhmm..美女 hahaha! They got this super giant earthen jar i guess all the delicious soup comes from there. The rice was different too. It taste like glutinous rice but looks like white fragrant rice cooked with mushroom slices and dried shrimps. Very yummy delicious!!!! They've got many variety too! Like咸菜鸭汤、莲藕排骨汤、西洋菜排骨汤、六味鸡汤、人参鸡汤etc. I ordered the 莲藕排骨汤. OMG! It's super duper delicious!!!!!!!!!!! The soup is not oily, clear soup base, so nutritious...so different from my home's :)

This is the 莲藕排骨汤served in earthen jar! The amount is enough to satiate you the whole afternoon. Actually if you're not a big eater, 1 jar is enough to share among 2 person. :)Plus the packeted herbs can be eaten. Got china barley, soyabean, etc.

Overall, soup tasted just like homemade. I will not proclaim to say there is no MSG but minimal instead. :) Instead, what I get is a tasty herbal soup served with fragrant rice. A must try! Price ranges from $5.50-$6.00 + additional $0.50 for rice.The rice is optional.

Oh damn! Why am i always so suay?!! It's not the first them i've got my undergarments STOLEN! Yes! Just couple of hours ago my washed undergarments were STOLEN AGAIN! Oh DAMN! It's all my fault to hang my so "intimate" stuff outside the corridor! And i just so trust people living in the same floor same block won't do such low-class act. I'm so wrong.:( And previous record shows that this thief is only so interested in undergarments. Yes. All the while I've like nice clothes hung outside my corridor but the thief just don't dare/want to take. Worst! I think the thief was so scared tonite till he/she make my mum's undergarment dropped onto the floor! DAMN! I probably noe who the person. Wait till i caught you RED-HANDED! Shyt Shyt Shyt YOU! Damn! It just shows that this neighbourhood has the worst people around. Throwing things from high floor, stealing, mad people shouting everyday... oh my god. Damn! Where have all the education, morality gone? Shyt tis people. I curse you to have bad luck after taking my undergarments. Shyt You!

Hi to all. I haven't been updating my blog so often.

It's holidays for me. End of another semester. Year 2 sem 2 and going to year 3 this April. Hopefully.. So fast, time flies.

Oh let me just share something.
我喜歡傾盆大雨過後。。。空氣中飄著陣陣涼風，微風細雨。空氣格外的清新:)心情也會感到莫名的幸福與開心。聽到汽車從小巷駛過，hmm...風從窗吹過了臉頰。。。阿~問到了風帶來的香氣:)。靜靜的街、小鳥的叫聲、細雨滴答聲打落寂靜的路上。。。坐靠仰望著天空與大自然的休息角落~呼吸著、享受著片刻的寧靜。。

這一刻是幸福的。
這是我的生活寫照。

I realised i haven't blogged on several many happenings. Zoo trip that was way back last September, F1 Singapore Race, Pre-Christmas shopping, some-many 自恋 stuff, and etc. etc. etc.

Well, 在等多一些時候吧. 我會盡快把照片po上網。因為最近比較忙、比較忙、比較忙。哈哈哈哈~

On a side note, 不知道你們還記得Tension這個Accapella團體嗎<3？對了，他們其中的一個成員Raymond回來了！！！帶來他的新歌。這是他2008/11/20在“河岸留言”的演唱會唱的其中一首歌“我們的故事”。隔了這麼久在聽他詮釋這首歌。。。只能說進步了很多。感覺和當初跟Tension一起唱有著不一樣格外的感動。

Good books & Great movies

Currently having a short vacation, I've got myself some spare time to go hunting for good books. :) I was at the bookstore that day and came across a few good books. I was tempted to get all of them. :9

I was reading the papers a week or 2 ago on this article about Mr Subhas Anandan, a renowned criminal lawyer. (remember the Malaysian vegetable packer Took Leng How convicted murdering of 8 year old Huang Na's case?) He has written a book entitled "The Best I Could" recently about 15 of his more memorable or unusual cases throughout his 38-year legal career. Want to know more? Check out at all good bookstores. :)

Oh, i definitely love this book "Ten Powerful Phrases for Positive People" by Rich DeVos. It's a new book published last month. If you're positive, wants to feel positive, instill confidence, help yourself blah blah blah... THIS BOOK a must have. :)

Twilight would be the biggest movie this holiday season. A new movie based on some smash hit vampire book!

I've saw the book at bookstore that day and didn't really bothered as i thought it was the usual fantasy romance thriller. Until I saw the advert on tv yesterday and omg!! i'm definitely watching this! :D Yes! I did! In all spirit of the movie i'm coming here to blog! :D

Initially i planned to come home early and rest after my cmt today. As i din get enough of sleep last night. After lunch, we go around the school compound to take photos... lots of them btw. (: After the photo session, under my friend's 怂恿下，we decided not to go back so early, we headed to Vivo. . .

一年在不知觉的情况又要跟我们说Bye-Bye了。

How many times in life are we really greatful and appreciate what our loved ones has done for us? Or do we most of the time take things for granted?

這些應該是昨晚的事了。。有些話跟心情當下時刻是最真的。Yesterday night was somewhat different. It started all with the normal conversations and I ended up telling you so much things and you enlighten me so much. You really understands me so well huh~ (: Really glad to know you.

It's kinda like you accept who i am and on the other hand I'm the so-bad-person they always wanted to change. 難道在別人眼裡我真是這樣叛逆到骨子的可以嗎？如果常識去接受真的會好一點嗎？可是我總是認為你不用每件事都說得那麼仔細已經聽了超過數十次了！你說得沒錯就“因為你還有一年才讀完”應該忍。。。畢竟還是靠人家養你，給你錢。。畢竟不能陪你走完一輩子。。。

我會聽你的嘗試去包容一切的不完美。真的不能只是說說而已。。。

The New Paper Big Walk On Water 08

I went to the annual Big Walk Event 2weeks ago held by The New Paper. It was fun! (:

I suppose to meet my pals at 6plus that morning but it turned out i slept all the way till 6.50am until my mum woke me up! Oh God! That was a lesson for me. Not to sleep late the night b4 if you need to wake up damn early the next. Lucky my pals din grumbled at me :S

well, it was a 5KM walk from Suntec - Fountain of Wealth all the way to Marina Barrage.

The weather was nice.

we caught this interesting uncle dressing in recycled materials and we went up to chat with him. We asked "Why are you holding ur bottom?" He replied "I can't walk if I don't bring them up." They're heavy. LOL! We admire his spirit. He is perspiring profusely yet he wants to complete the journey in this way.

After that we requested to take a picture with him. Oh here's the damn part. 1st take camera
don't know what happen cannot capture. 2nd take, we think it's better to have 1 more. So we deleted the previous and request another. after we capture, we realise not successful.
3rd try the camera auto back to menu! So end up we took none! :(
